GUIDELINES OF THE DOJANG

Taekwon-Do is rooted in both military and Oriental culture; as such, certain rules apply that may seem rather strict or draconian, but are designed to promote discipline and respect which are crucial to success in and out of the dojang. These rules are also in the spirit of maintaining the Do, or "Way", of Taekwon-Do as envisioned by our founder.

The following guidelines will apply to those entering the dojang for training. Additionally, some of these guidelines apply to parents and other family members. These guidelines are not all inclusive, but are intended to provide the student with a roadmap to follow in the dojang.

Be Respectful:

Bow properly to the national flag when entering and leaving the dojang.

Remove shoes before entering the dojang.

Address all seniors/adults/instructors as Sir, Ma'am, Mr., Ms. or Mrs.

Acknowledge all black belts who enter or are in the dojang by bowing respectfully and offering the appropriate greeting.

Do not bring any food or drink other than water into the dojang.

Notify the instructor if possible if you will not make a class.
